Wellsville Salvation Army helps at Christmas

The family had fallen under hard times at Christmas time. There were two little children, their house needed a new roof as well other issues. This was the first year this family found themselves needing to request help from any agency, so it was very difficult for them to come and ask. Salvation Army’s Angel tree program was able to provide two little bikes for the children as well as a nice food box. When the mom came to pick up her basket, she broke down, saying that all her children had been asking for were bikes. The family will probably never have to ask for assistance again, however, with the help from Allegany County United Way, this family’s Christmas was a happy one — with toys as well as a nice dinner.
